About Mara Adler

Through her personal passion and mission to make opera accessible to a wider audience, soprano Mara Adler has developed and taught masterclasses in opera and classic Neapolitan song both in the United States and in its birthplace of Naples, Italy.
An expert in Neapolitan classical music, she regularly performs with I Filarmonici di Napoli at the famed Teatro San Carlo and throughout the region. As a member of the ensemble, she has performed several operas at Teatro Salvo D’aquisto, in two festivals of comic operas of 17th century Napoli – her specialty. As co-founder of Ensemble Bella Luce and Leader of Song at Saint Paul the Apostle Church in [TOWN], she organizes and performs with international artists throughout New Jersey.
Recent performance credits include a lecture concert entitled “Popera,” which highlighted the numerous ways that opera is used in popular culture and was performed for the East Brunswick Arts Council. She was also invited to curate and co-teach a masterclass in opera at Rowan University.
Adler has sung background vocals for pop stars, major motion pictures, and local celebrities. During her tenure in the Bay Area, she performed numerous solos with the San Francisco Opera as a young singer and can be heard on several Grammy-winning albums of the San Francisco Symphony of the early 2000’s. She has since been featured as an artist with such prestigious companies as Bel Canto at Caramoor and the Educational Outreach Program of the Metropolitan Opera in NYC.
